Welcome to the Hulsing Media Center
Checkout: Kindergarteners check out one new book each week. If a child forgets his/her book they will be allowed to check out another. However, two books out is the maximum for kindergarten students.
1st-5th grade students are able to check out 2 books at a time. Books are checked out for a one week period (with the exception of school vacations). If a child would like to keep a particular book longer, he/she should bring the book in for renewal.
If students finish their books before the week is over, or are absent from library, they are welcome to exchange books any day during afternoon recess.
Library Bags: Each student is given a special library bag. It should be used to safely store and transport library books to and from school every week. This eco-friendly, reusable bag will be used for the rest of their years here at Hulsing. If it becomes dirty, it can be hand-washed and hung dry. If the bag is lost or damaged, you may use any appropriate bag or send in $2.00 to purchase a replacement bag.
